The Turner Twins
A video-led website for two adventurers, built to win brand partners.

Show the film first.
Overview
Hugo and Ross Turner are identical twins whose expeditions run from electric paramotors to the Poles of Inaccessibility. Base Camp built their first Webflow site in 2022 and redesigned it in 2024 around film, so brands see the work before they read about it.
Outcome
Live since late 2024 and updated with each new project, most recently George Mallory Reimagined in September 2025.

Challenge
The brief was commercial and specific. The site had to “look highly professional and world class” and help bring in at least two new brand partners a year, from names such as Land Rover, Tudor and The North Face.
It also had to feel like nothing a visitor had used before. The twins’ best material was film, and the old site buried it.

Role
- The first Webflow site, 2022: expeditions, adventures, films, fitness, science and speaking, with collections the twins edit themselves.
- A landing page for The Blue Pole expedition, with live tracking.
- The 2024 redesign: content audit, wireframes, design and build.
- Short reels cut for every project tile.
- A Brand Work page and partner logo strip.
- Updates and hosting since.

Sideways, on purpose
The homepage turns a vertical scroll into a horizontal pass through the films: one full-screen, then two stacked, then the next, each playing as it slides in. Visitors don’t read their way to the work. They move through it.
A wall, not a list
Films opens on a tilted wall of their work. Grab it and it flattens; drag in any direction and it follows. Hover a tile and it names the film and the partner: Hike & Fly with Breitling, Purity with Fliteboard, Charging into the Future with MG Motors.
Built around the footage
The interactions only work because the material holds up. Every project tile is a short reel cut from expedition footage, and the work is grouped into series, Poles of Inaccessibility, Electric Adventures and Old vs New, so a brand sees a programme rather than a list of trips.

03 — Approach
Two interactions carry the site: a homepage that scrolls sideways through full-screen films, and a Films page laid out as a wall you can grab and drag. Both put the twins’ footage first and make finding it part of the experience.
