In short

Stay close to the land.

Overview

Borough Farm is an 18-acre organic farm near Lifton, on the edge of Dartmoor, with four barn stays and a yurt. Base Camp built its first site in 2024 and rebuilt it in 2026 alongside a brand and marketing strategy, as the business moved from Devon Yurt to Borough Farm.

Outcome

Launched on 18 October 2026, carrying the farm’s Green Tourism Gold award and its 4.9 rating on TripAdvisor.

Challenge

The business had outgrown its name. Devon Yurt now meant four converted barns, a yurt, a sauna and whole-farm gatherings, and the old site had picked up generic copy that, in the owner’s words, felt “clunky and not like us at all”. Booking was the least-liked part of it.

Role

  • The first Webflow site, 2024, with photography by Toby Roney.
  • A brand and marketing strategy session, June 2026: outreach to local groups, booking-platform placements, a posting rhythm and a new wellness offer.
  • A rebuilt site, written and fact-checked with the owner.
  • New photography, drone footage and edit, summer 2026.
  • Direct booking through Anytime Booking.
  • An illustrated farm map.
  • Hosting, domain and email.

Approach

The site leads with “Stay close to the land.” Each stay has its own page: The Yard, The Shippon, The Dairy, which is fully accessible, The Granary with its 22-seat table in The Loft, and Great Links, a 21-foot yurt with a wood-fired hot tub.

An illustrated map shows the whole farm, down to the garden, the Mowhay. Sauna and hot-tub sessions, whole-farm hire, a journal and a Friends of the Farm newsletter give guests reasons to come back.
